FACTORY FOREMAN
Our Christchurch Sleeper Factory is currently looking for motivated individual to join our existing team as our Foreman.
This is a hands on roll suited to somebody preferably with precast concrete and / or carpentry experience who is capable of supervising a team of up to 10 staff and run the branch in the Managers absence. You will have a forklift licence or be willing to get this once in the role and trained.
You would be primarily responsible for:
- Supervising factory staff and issuing instructions to staff, ensuring health & safety and company quality, processes and procedures are adhered to.
- Providing relevant training and SOP sign off for all staff operating factory machinery.
- Ensuring that all materials required for production are kept with adequate stock volumes. Any short falls or additional materials required should be recorded and escalated to the Manager in advance of them being required to prevent production delays.
- Placing concrete orders.
- Concrete testing and recording (training will be provided).
Hands on aspects:
- Pouring, vibrating and finishing of concrete.
- Quality checking.
- Loading rail wagons with finished product.
