- Head Office - Whangarei, Northland
Kurt Bennetto has worked at Busck since he was just 12 years old, washing company cars before later becoming a concrete worker, and then a draughtsman. After a stint in construction management for Multiplex in Auckland and Melbourne, Kurt returned to Busck Prestressed Concrete in 2015, becoming General Manager of Construction 5 years on, responsible for taking care of clients and their projects from start to finish.
For Kurt, part of what makes Busck such a fantastic company to work for is that it’s a family, not a corporation, with many of Busck’s shareholders and directors actively involved in daily operations.
Kurt is excited by the growth of the company and opportunity to expand into new ventures. He holds a Diploma in Architecture, has recently become a father to a baby girl. He loves Marlin fishing.

- Head Office - Whangarei, Northand
At the age of 22, Rex started his own business in Whangarei, manufacturing water tanks, septic tanks, stock troughs and more. In early 1987, Busck Prestressed Concrete purchased Rex’s company and Rex went to work at Busck’s Fraser Street site where he now wears multiple managerial hats. As Operations Manager he oversees Fraser Street’s manufacturing of precast concrete poles and associated products. Additionally he is responsible for organising machinery gantry crane services for Busck, an area in which he holds training certification. Under the shade of his second hat as National Standards Product Manager, Rex is also in charge of concrete supply and quality assurance, and works with branch managers nationwide to maintain Busck’s high product standards.
Outside of work, Rex enjoys getting involved with his local rugby club, Mid Northern Rugby Football. He is also a trustee of the Jack Morgan Museum. Perhaps it says it all that, when Rex was asked, after more than three decades with the company, what his favourite thing about Busck is, he answered, ‘going to work’.

After 35 years in the timber saw milling and manufacturing industry, the last fourteen of which was spent as a division team leader, Peter was ready for a change. For him, the old family business feel of Busck Prestressed Concrete has been a breath of fresh air, as has being known by his name and not an employee number.
To Peter, Busck is proof that there are still companies out there that care about their workforce, and as National Health and Safety Manager, Peter is proud to be representing Busck Prestressed Concrete doing exactly that.
Peter is Co-Chairperson of Concrete NZ’s Precast Sector Group Health & Safety Forum and holds his National Certificate in Business (First line Management) L3, National Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (Workplace Safety) L3, New Zealand Certificate in Competitive Systems and Practices L3, and Northland Polytechnic Certificate in Applied Work Practice.
Peter enjoys golfing, fishing, and the opportunity to be a part of a company whose position as an industry leader means constant adaptability.
