Recently one of Busck’s largest end user customers had a need to build a temporary overhead line in the middle of Palmerston North. Fifty poles were needed very quickly to build the line. Below are comments from PowerCo.
“Powerco has making good progress constructing a temporary overhead power line in central Palmerston North to reinforce the electricity supply to the city’s central business district. A 33,000 volt cable, which is one of three supplying the Main Street substation, failed a week ago triggering Powerco’s move to build a temporary new overhead line to reinforce the electricity supply to the CBD until new underground cables can be installed and commissioned. Busck moved at very short notice to supply fifty poles from both Ngaruawahia and Palmerston North branches over two days.”
“The team at PowerCo, would like to thank the team at Busck for the professionalism shown during this event and the help that we received with logistic support.”
